On Tuesday evening, April 24, USGBC co-hosted a reception with the Congressional Green Schools Caucus to celebrate the third annual release of the Princeton Review’s Guide to 322 Green Colleges, 2012 Edition.

Pennsylvania Schools are Rocking the Green Ribbon Program!
On April 19, the Delaware Valley Green Building Council recognized all 24 schools in their Chapter’s region that applied for the Green Ribbon program. Two of them, Radnor Middle School and Springside Chestnut Hill (pictured) were notified on Monday by the U.S. Department of Education that they had been named Green Ribbon Schools!

Introducing the Green Apple Day of Service
Last week, I was able to visit one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to make an exciting announcement, recognizing the Green School in Bali as the Center for Green School’s “2012 Greenest School on Earth.” The school has some incredible features, such as structures made from environmentally friendly bamboo, solar energy and vortex hydro technology projects to remove the school entirely off the grid, bio-intensive farming around campus to raise organic food and so much more.

Rachel Gutter Visits Green School in Bali
Last week, Rachel Gutter visited the Green School in Bali, Indonesia to present them with the Center for Green Schools “2012 Greenest School on Earth” Award. The school has some incredible features, such as structures made from environmentally friendly bamboo, solar energy and vortex hydro technology projects to remove the school entirely off the grid, bio-intensive farming around campus to raise organic food and so much more.
