Onondaga County is a place known for perfect fall days, but October 7th was an exceptional day when Onondaga Community College (OCC) welcomed Rick Fedrizzi to our campus for a presentation of two LEED Gold plaques for our new SRC Arena and Events Center and the other for the Academic II building.
Pathways School Gurgaon is the first school serving all grades K-12 in the world to achieve LEED-EB Platinum certification from USGBC. Among all educational facilities worldwide who have achieved this top distinction, which includes only one high school and a small number of university projects, Pathways is the highest rated.

I was shocked to read in the Washington Post last week that roughly half of the world’s vertebrate (and non-human) animals have vanished since 1970. Goodness knows how many had been lost before we started counting. “The main culprits?” the article reads, are “exploitation (i.e. overfishing and overhunting), and habitat degradation.
