At the heart of the Green Sports Alliance is the goal to leverage the power of the sports industry to create broad cultural change as it pertains to environmental stewardship, community health and sustainability. A key part of this vision is to ensure all members of the sports community are actively engaged and using their unique skills to advance the green sports movement, and the Women, Sports and the Environment (WSE) Symposium provides an opportunity to convene and support women from all sectors of the industry in this effort.
LEED is more than a set of requirements, it’s a comprehensive program supported by a suite of tools and resources. With LEED v4, in addition to working on the rating systems, USGBC also focused a great deal of attention on the customer experience. And the development process did not end with LEED v4 being launched. We are still looking for new ways to add support for project teams.

The other day I had the honor of presenting EMSI—a long-time partner of USGBC’s—with a LEED plaque for their 100th LEED-certified building in mainland China and Singapore.
