    As our friendly neighbors to the north celebrate Canada Day, today we are excited to release Alternative Compliance Paths (ACPs) for LEED v4 projects in Canada. Developed by Canada GBC, these ACPs underscore LEED’s regional and local applicability by recognizing leading Canadian local standards and practices in LEED. CaGBC and its committees played a key rule in creating solutions that allow greater flexibility in LEED.

    Located on a former industrial site in Caracas, VEPICA Sede — the new headquarters of VEPICA — began as a simple renovation project, and ended up becoming an amazing example of sustainable development for the country, as the first LEED-certified project in Venezuela and the most recent winner of USGBC’s LEED Earth campaign.

  • Web-based reference guide features new modules

    With the launch of LEED v4, USGBC also introduced a new format for the LEED reference guides — web-based.

    Integrated into the LEED credit library, the web-based reference guide combines all of the information in the PDF versions of the guides with additional videos, tutorials and templates. It was built so that we could continuously add to it, which makes it a resource that continues to grow.

  • Exploding demand for LEED credentials among employers

    A new study of job postings from across the country indicates that demand for LEED Green Associates and LEED APs has grown 46% in the last 12 months. And a 12-month scan of U.S. job listings found 9,033 available jobs that specifically require a LEED credential (Burning Glass Technologies, Labor/Insight, 2014).
