In 2009, Greenbuild and its volunteer leadership decided it was time to take Greenbuild beyond just high-level educational content and dig into the attendee experience.
They wanted to create a way to truly engage attendees with presenters and the session content, while also improving their learning experience. From these discussions, the Greenbuild Special Sets Program was born.

Thomas Edison State College in NJ Awards Course Credit for LEED Professional Credentials

WASHINGTON, D.C. (August 15, 2013) – The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) today announced LEED Professional Credentials have been approved for college credit through New Jersey’s State Energy Sector Partnership (SESP) initiative. SESP is the result of an award to the NJ State Employment and Training Commission from the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration to support employment growth and retention within the energy efficiency and renewable energy industries.

I come from an island in the middle of the Indian Ocean famous for its beautiful beaches and the 1.2 million inhabitants from various parts of the world. Mauritius, my country, forms part of the Small Island Developing States (SIDS), which have serious vulnerabilities due to the effects of climate change. I was blessed to live close to nature all my life. It has allowed me to develop a deep connection to my local environment and the planet, for that matter.
