Recipients Demonstrate Innovative Approaches to School Sustainability, Recognized for Commitment to LEED and Healthy, High-Performing Schools
WASHINGTON, D.C. — (Dec.17, 2013) — The Center for Green Schools at the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) today announced its third annual “Best of Green Schools” list, which recognizes top educational institutions, individuals and initiatives across the country for environmental efforts.

Just a few weeks ago, the GAF team traveled to Philadelphia, Pa. for the Greenbuild Conference & Expo. The GAF booth was really buzzing with activity this year! In fact, our presence at Greenbuild has grown every year, as it has become increasingly strategic for us to reach the green building marketplace and this year was no exception. To top it off, we recently became one of very few manufacturers to be USGBC Platinum members.

For green building policy geeks like us, King County, Washington, is as cool as it gets. And, my dear geeky friends, they’re at it again.
We’re investigating the best ways to increase the production and demand of products with publicly disclosed ingredient profiles and demonstrated track records of product improvement to insure our project teams are prepared for LEED v4. Our goal is to make MR Credit Building Product Disclosure and Optimization – Material Ingredients a “gimme” by the end of 2014.
