Our Green Schools Fellows have been hard at work in the Boston and Sacramento school districts, wrapping up their first years and looking forward to the 2012-2013 school year. They’ve made some incredible accomplishments so far, and we’re looking forward to the year ahead!
Sacramento City Unified School District update – Farah McDIll
“In order to solve our climate problems, we need a coalition of leaders.” This was the message delivered by Boston Latin School’s Youth Climate Action Network leaders, Rebecca Park and Eshe Sherley, as they addressed two dozen peer students who had gathered to envision how a rooftop sustainability learning center could shape their educational experience in and out of school.
Things are buzzing in the facilities department and the administration building at Boston Public School (BPS) as everyone is preparing for the students to return for the 2012 school year. I’m now one month into my Center for Green Schools UTC Fellowship in Boston, and I’m finally figuring out how to describe my role.
